At Iskalo Landscape Architecture  we aim to design aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor environments that carefully consider the existing site conditions while responding to the client’s specific needs.  For graphic communication, the practice produces high quality presentations, plans and technical drawings by making use of computer software such as Autocad, Photoshop and 3D rendering software.

 

Iskalo Landscape Architecture, based in Oaklands, Johannesburg, was established as a private practice by Ralene Fischer in 2012. Ralene Fischer is a registered professional landscape architect with 14 years of work experience in the landscape architectural field. She obtained her master’s degree in landscape architecture at the University of Pretoria where she was also a part time lecturer (design and plant studies) from 2013 until 2017. She has worked on projects ranging in size and complexity from private and estate gardens, parks, office parks, educational facilities, retail and other commercial developments, as well as urban design for residential developments and masterplanning. She was a council member at SACLAP (South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession) from 2017 until 2021 and is passionate about education and growth in the landscape architectural industry.
